I find myself about to turn 41 and my life is not what I had expected it would be. Don’t misunderstand me. I love my wife and my son. I would not change them for a moment. I do, however, feel that life has somehow passed me by. This leads me to believe that I have short-changed my family and friends.
I am starting this blog to document the journey I am about to go on. My goal is to find personal fulfillment in all aspects of my life. I have lost time. I have lost health. I have lost wealth. Most importantly I have lost relationships. There are many facets of my life that need to be reclaimed. My hope is that documenting my journey will inspire others to take back what they have lost.
James A. Michener has the perfect quote for what I want for my Life.
“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both.”
